Deburring and Spherical Lapping Assistant (Third Shift)
A growing and profitable manufacturer for aerospace parts in Simi Valley is looking to hire assistants in their deburring and lapping department. This is a third shift position.

Location: Simi Valley
Salary: $21.00-24.00/hr (DOE)
This is a full time temp-to-hire position
Schedule: 3rd shift (11pm - 7am)
Responsibilities:
- Manually spherical lap inner diameters using a conventional drill press according to specification
- Deburr parts by breaking sharp edges on internal and external surfaces
- Use deburring tools like files, electric Dremels, pneumatic die grinders, deburring wheels, carbid bits, Scotchbrite, emery cloth, sand paper andpolishing wheels
Requirements:
- Ability to make machine adjustments like simple time and pressure corrections to maintain part target size
- Ability to understand basic machining measurements, necessary for stock removal.
- Able to measure parts with a caliper and check threads with thread gage.
- Ability to follow written instructions on printed work orders.
- Ability to communicate process information back to the lead for process improvement.
- Ability to sit and stand frequently throughout the shift, this also includes repeated walking from work area, to wash tank and to the part gauging area.
- Able to lift at least 25 lbs, 50 lbs. with assistance.
- Team player and safety conscious
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder per ITAR regulations.
