A South Orange County property management company is seeking a Claims Coordinator to support its growing maintenance team. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm and the pay is $28.50/hour. This is a temporary assignment, expected to last from now until June 2024.
Claims Coordinator Responsibilities:
Provides coordination and assistance in the execution of maintenance programs and services.
Streamlines the notification processes and creates workflow efficiencies.
Exercises quality assurance with administrative staff to ensure the accuracy of program notifications, invoicing, and tracking.
Confers with program manager concerning objectives, new or revised policies, short and long-range programs relative to operations.
Assists with planning, development, and implementation of new programs and procedures in accordance with established objectives.
Uses STELLAR for creating, tracking, and recording all items of work.
Plans and coordinates workflow related to operational programs and services within the Maintenance contacts community residents, and other parties as required to facilitate program implementation and completion;
Assists with the Damage Restoration process, including tracking of damage restoration costs, preparation of notifications, hearing reports, billing packages, and documentation packages.
Provides inter-departmental coordination and scheduling,
Claims Coordinator Qualifications:
Graduation from High School supplemented by College level course work in Engineering, Architecture and or Construction Management with thorough experience in water damage restoration, building construction or inspection, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which produces the following:
Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the job.
Knowledge of computer and software programs necessary for communication and record keeping.
Knowledge of mold and mildew remediation processes and procedures.
Knowledge of abatement procedures for asbestos-containing materials.
Knowledge of modern office equipment, practices, systems and procedures.
Knowledge of the materials, methods and practices used in various types of construction, and the stages in construction when possible defects and violations may be most easily observed and corrected.
Knowledge of construction scopes of work and estimate preparation.
Knowledge of national, state and local building and zoning ordinances, related codes and regulations.
Knowledge of computer skills necessary for communication and record keeping.
Ability to express ideas effectively, orally, via computer and in writing.
Ability to relate to the needs and concerns of senior citizens.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
