As Game Producers at Riot, we lead passionate technical teams to create products and experiences that want to achieve maximum developer and player value. We guide development, clear blockers, and push projects across the finish line while making sure that our teams are sustainable and have a great collaborative environment.
VALORANT’s Store team is responsible for building technology and features to create best-in-class opportunities for players to express themselves and their personal flair using the content that they acquire in-game. All the store and monetization systems your team designs and builds will be “Player Focused”, which means that they will be built in a way where players choose to engage with them rather than feeling pressured to engage with them. Ideally, you have a strong interest in services and distributed systems as well as an understanding of content acquisition pipelines and inventory management. You will report to the Manager /Senior Manager for your area.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Discipline lead support to identify and prioritize backlog items.
- Work to create, prioritize and execute plans for work within project plans
- Support team by removing roadblocks and managing distractions
- Direct all team rituals and facilitate needed communication
- Quality tracking (bug count, bug velocity, subjective quality post ship)
- Reinforce product based organizational structure with discipline leadership
- Maintain integration into cross-team work for the discipline.
- Drive the delivery of team's feature work and estimations
- Ensure team's work matches overall project priorities and goals
- Provide essential product feedback and insight to the team and leadership
- Communicate team staffing needs as they arise
- Ensure optimal team health, culture, efficacy, and efficiency
- Manage relationships with supporting technical teams across Riot
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Game Producer, Product Manager, or Development Manager
- 4+ years of production responsibilities with a focus on delivery and production management
- Experience shipping a game or major game content in a production role
- Experience refining technical product vision on a service/distributed systems focused team
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with a live game service
- Experience working with decentralized team management
- Experience with multiple production tools (JIRA, etc.)
- Experience working with microservices and APIs
- Experience shipping games and features across multiple platforms
- Familiarity with content acquisition, inventory management, and monetization systems
