Hours: 8:30a - 5p (M-F) * Additional hours required at various times of year
Salary: From $70,000.00 per year, based on experience
Job Duties:
\t
Plan and perform audits and review procedures as assigned on audits of governmental and non-profit clients, including compilation of financial statements
\t
Interact directly with the Partners and Managers on matters related to client and engagement management
\t
Communicate with the internal accounting and auditing departments of our clients and ensure delivery of exceptional service
\t
Assist with strengthening existing client relationships and development of new business opportunities
\t
Train, coach, and develop staff accountants
Qualifications:
\t
Bachelor's degree in accounting
\t
3 years of experience working with external audit in public accounting or a combination of governmental public accounting experience, and experience in review of GAAP financial statements
\t
Experience with governmental accounting and auditing standards
\t
Ability to work independently and adhere to scheduled deadlines and time budgets, and ability to complete work assignments with attention to detail and accuracy
\t
Excellent verbal and written communication
\t
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
\t
Able to travel using a personal vehicle, for work at client’s offices, meetings or seminars - frequent daily travel and occasional out-of-town travel with overnight stay
