Job Summary
This position is an 10-month (6 hr/day) GRANT BASED position with funding through June 2025.
Under the direction of the Director of Nutrition and Wellness, perform a variety of duties in the preparation, cooking, baking and service of foods at the Central Production Kitchen and other district locations for distribution to satellite kitchens; maintain production and serving areas, tools and equipment in a clean, sanitary and safe condition. Ensures that the work of Food Service Assistant (FSA) is carried out in the FSA’s absence.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Resume
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Current and valid ServSafe Food Safety & Sanitation certificate preferred.
Any combination equivalent to: Two (2) years experience working in quantity food service operation, preferably including experience with USDA Child Nutrition standards and compliance
AND one year of college or vocational school coursework in Culinary Arts, Restaurant Management, Nutrition and Dietetics or other closely related field.
