The Retail Agent is responsible for initiating and completing sales of items and products available. They must be able to speak clearly, communicate with all types of people, including VIPs, dignitaries and celebrities. The Retail Agent must maintain a professional appearance and friendly attitude toward guests, other employees and management staff and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of the company.
- Greet guests of the store and ensure that they are aware of the retail products available for purchase.
- Maintain a high level of expertise on products and explain their purpose, ingredients, suggested uses or other related information.
- Understand and adhere to departmental sales goals. Maintain accurate sales records to establish a client base for re-sale of products and repeat business.
- Process payment utilizing proper policies and procedures for cash, room charge or credit card.
- Provide directions and information to guests about the resort’s facilities, services, location and hours of operation.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the retail areas and arrange for cleaning when necessary during daily operating hours.
- Ensure guest requests for assistance are answered promptly and handled appropriately in a timely manner.
- Project an image of friendliness, professionalism and willingness to provide personalized services to guests.
- Resolve guest complaints in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Obtain management assistance if necessary.
- Strictly adhere to the company’s lost and found policies and procedures.
- Follow all procedures when responding to any hotel emergency or safety situation.
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
High School Diploma or GED Preferred.
Possess a strong work ethic, high energy and friendly personality.
Superior communication and customer service skills.
Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills.
Compensation:
Base Pay Start Rate: $18.00
