Logistics Operations Intern
Job Description: As a Logistics Operations Intern, you will work closely with our logistics team to assist in the day-to-day operations of our supply chain. This role is ideal for someone interested in learning about logistics, transportation, and supply chain management. The intern will gain hands-on experience and contribute to the efficiency of our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
Assist in coordinating the transportation of goods and materials to and from warehouses, distribution centers, and customers.
Support the logistics team in tracking shipments and ensuring on-time deliveries.
Help with inventory management, including stock counts, tracking inventory levels, and updating records.
Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to resolve logistics-related issues.
Conduct research on industry best practices and suggest improvements to current logistics processes.
Prepare reports and documentation related to logistics operations.
Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in the logistics management system.
Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned by the logistics team.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience or coursework in logistics or supply chain management.
Familiarity with logistics management software or ERP systems.
Knowledge of basic logistics and transportation concepts.
Additional Information
The primary work location for this position is Aliso Viejo, CA (company headquarters).
Relocation may be available for qualified candidates.
