Summary:
A Service Technician is an entry level position into the field of aviation component repairs. The main responsibility of this position is to “tear down” aerospace components and sub-assemblies sent for repair. In the “Teardown” process the technician will be responsible for disassembly, diagnosis and entering their finding into the MRP system for customer approval.
Essential Responsibilities
• Deburrs, grinds and buffs parts. • Inspects all parts for cleanliness and flaws. • Disassemble parts to ability troubleshoot and determine root cause of failures or customer non-conformances • Read and interpret written instructions, blueprints, or engineering drawings accurately • Use hand tools use a variety of assembly hand tools and precision measuring instruments accurately and efficiently, such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators • Log each step of the inspection process in the MRP system • Record root cause of failure and necessary repairs into the MRP system for end customer approval • Maintain a clean and safe work area
Position Requirements
Must have HS diploma, GED statement or expierence equivalent.
Must have 1 year of manufacturing experience.
Must have working knowledge of basic shop math and be able to complete basic electrical formulas.
Must be knowledgeable in the use of MRP computer systems.
Must be able to read, speak and write in English and follow verbal and written instructions.
Must be able to troubleshoot and determine root causes and document findings.
