We are currently seeking a MNS International Operations Principal to join the MNS-I Operations and Program Management organization to serve in a dynamic, fast-moving role. Candidates should possess a breadth of technical skills, domain knowledge, operations, and project-management experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Working across MNS-I,MNS- AUS MITRE, and sponsoring projects to ensure strategic implementation of priorities and efficient, effective business operations. Passionate about being a ‘connector’ across a large, agile team focused on incorporating collaborative best practices.
- Managing and monitoring the resourcing across MNS-I projects to ensure that financials are on track and staff personnel have appropriate project coverage.
- Facilitating and managing team communication channels, websites, and tools.
- Continuously assess and improve processes as needed and coordinate across the broader MITRE operations and Program Management community.
- Identifying and Managing MNS-I program and project risks. Assisting in monitoring pending incomplete projects/meetings and coordination of inputs for action items.
- Manage Milestone performance and Schedule, through Wrike.
- Earned Value expertise and understanding of proposal execution and gating.
- Setting-up and maintaining project files, schedules and records, including establishing resources/documentation necessary for organizational transparency and standardization.
- Develop and maintain strong internal relationships across a matrixed team of leaders, partners, administrative staff, technical staff, and sponsor project teams.
- Lead Multiple Independent Project Teams that will change based upon organizational need.
- Facilitation and coordination of international engagements.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain a maintain a Secret clearance.
- Master’s degree and at least 10 years of experience in operations, project/program management, or national security related studies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and capable of working with scientists, analysts, and technical software developers across several technical disciplines.
- Requires high level of poise, initiative, tact, professionalism, and diplomacy in working closely, often under time constraints, with highly confidential information, with a diverse group of directors, staff, and MITRE operations supporting components.
- Exceptional Microsoft Office Suite skills include Outlook, OneNote, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Microsoft Project, Wrike. Working knowledge of Sales Force software for business applications.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively apply strong self-organization and time management skills, with considerable emphasis on self-initiation, independent decision making, accuracy and follow through on a broad range of administrative support tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively assess situations and make decisions within broadly defined practices and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to operate and team with MITRE management, staff and clients are a must.
- A strong teamwork ethos, maturity, initiative, and dependability. Works effectively and tactfully with colleagues at every level of the organization.
- Demonstrated experience as a ‘connector’ across a large, agile team focused on incorporating collaborative best practices.
- This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site presence.
