Position summary:
MannKind is currently seeking a Senior Analyst (Sr. Specialist) of Accounts Payable to join our team, reporting to the Manager of Accounts Payable. This position will handle full cycle of Accounts Payable processing, vendor relationship management, and review and approve expense reports through the company T&E policy. This position will be based in Westlake Village, CA.
Principal Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Accounts Payable including processing of invoices, ensuring proper coding, approval, documentation, and payment.
Reconciliation of all vendor statements on a monthly basis.
Participate in accounting for credit card transactions for purchase cards, vendor cards, travel and entertainment (T&E) cards in accordance with our T&E policy (Concur, AMEX).
Participate in the month-end closing process for accounts payable and accrued expenses.
Utilize Great Plains accounts payable (purchasing) module and Stampli payables automation software.
Investigate accounts payable issues as needed.
Cultivate relationships with vendors and colleagues.
Engage in other general accounting activities, including research, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Senior Analyst Qualifications and Skills:
At least 5 years of experience with full cycle accounts payable, general accounting, and understanding basic principles of accounting.
Detail oriented, extremely professional, and customer service oriented.
Ability to manage priorities and workflow and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational, problemsolving, and analytical skills.
Must have intermediate level Excel and Word skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
