Overview
We are seeking a senior quantitative analyst within the Model and Allowance Analysis team.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of credit risk models for the purpose of CECL—design, development, testing, documentation, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
Provide modeling expertise to build and improve quantitative models for various projects such as loss rate, PD, LGD, EAD models.
Conduct independent research to effectively challenge the model’s conceptual soundness, assumptions, and appropriateness of model methodology.
Compile, analyze, and resolve data errors/inconsistencies from various financial reporting systems.
Collaborate with business groups to develop effective modeling approaches to accurately represent the risks for practical business use.
Identify and address potential process gaps related to model development and in-use.
Carry out regular model performance monitoring and produce comprehensive monitoring reports.
Support ad hoc analytical projects.
Provide written or verbal communication to internal and external stakeholders conveying the results of research and analysis.
Provide thought leadership on modelling techniques and methodologies. Assist in mentoring junior team members.
Qualifications
Advanced Degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative disciplines.
Comprehensive practical knowledge of quantitative forecasting models, financial analysis techniques and methodologies.
Strong understanding of stress testing, credit risk, financial risk, and their processes.
Excellent team player with proven ability to work independently in a collaborative setting within a dynamic work environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate complex analytical issues in understandable terms appropriate for internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency with R or similar statistical programming languages. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
8+ years of relevant working experience preferred.
Compensation
The base pay range for this position is USD $120,000.00/Yr. - USD $180,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
