Job Description
ICF is seeking an individual to provide support for commercial and government clients on electric power markets analyses, including system planning and operation, electric grid reliability and resiliency, electric infrastructure development, and energy sector interdependencies.
The successful candidate will interface with government, commercial, and industry clients in diverse projects related to electric system operations and improvements, risk and vulnerability assessments, electric markets modeling and analysis, and grid hardening measures. Candidates must have strong project management skills and be highly skilled in effective research techniques, writing reports and performing spreadsheet analyses. They should also have very good communication skills and should be able to communicate highly technical issues to audiences with diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
Perform research and analysis, compile expert input, and write reports on technical electric power sector and related energy industry topics.
Perform power flow and production cost modeling and analysis
Review electric power sector studies and assessments
Prepare briefing materials for senior leadership.
Support the tracking of project deliverables and funding for projects run by the National Laboratories.
Support the development of ICF deliverables to multiple clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with 1+ years of relevant Power Systems Engineering or related experience
1+ years of experience and proficiency in research, writing, and quantitative analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Engineering or related discipline
High attention to detail, personal commitment to excellence, and enthusiasm to learn all levels of tasks
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Power flow and production cost modeling experience
Knowledge of electric sector planning and operations
Demonstrated experience writing reports and preparing spreadsheet analyses

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$57,737.00 - $98,153.00
