Position Summary:
Department of Dermatology | School of Medicine
Under the general supervision of the Practice manager, this position assists with the day-to-day oversight of clinical operations. Assists manager with overseeing team of 12 Medical Assistants and 3 nurses. Develops schedules, ensures supply par levels, and confirms usability of clinic devices. Supports physicians with direct patient care; collecting patient histories; routine lab procedures; and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab. Accurately and efficiently completes EMR intake. Follows up on test orders and reports results to the physician and patient; provides and maintains patient education materials; maintains medical equipment; inventories clinical and drug supplies. The expected pay range for this recruitment is $66,700.00 - $79,650.00 (Annual Salary). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $66,700.00 - $118,500.00 (Annual Salary).

Required:
- Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program and demonstrated some experience working as a medical assistant in an outpatient / ambulatory setting.
- Basic Life Support Certified through the American Heart Association.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups at different levels including hospital, university, and community, and patients; excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and to interact on sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
- Organizational skills to establish workload priorities to facilitate multiple functions and deadlines in a timely manner.
