Job Summary:
The Foster Care Recruiter/Trainer will work with and certify foster parents interested in working with the agency. This position is the link that provides support to our foster families and helps them build the skills they need to be successful. This position will develop and implement recruiting strategy for seeking out potential foster parents, partner with the community by attending events and build a support network for our foster care program.
Essential Job Duties:
Distributes recruitment materials such as flyers and brochures
Performs public speaking, networking, and marketing of the Foster Care Program to recruit foster parents
Assists in developing the yearly marketing plan
Enters inquiries regarding foster care and adoption into Binti
Analyzes trends and methods for recruitment
Organizes and provides information for potential foster parents
Provides pre-service training for foster parents in accordance with ODJFS standards
Assists in the annual training plan as required by ODJFS
Conducts on-going training for licensed foster parents
Coordinates assigning home studies with the Records & Licensing Manager
May be involved in the planning, organizing and implementation of special events
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field is required.
Experience in or around foster care and/or adoptions is preferred.
Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
Ability to take and pass a physical exam, tuberculosis test and drug screening.
Employment is contingent upon clear results of a thorough background check.
