What We Do
Supervises a team who have responsibility for tactical daily operations and project outcomes. Work group is generally engaged in a variety of technical tasks and service requests.
Essential Functions
- Primary purpose of role is supervision. Supervise the day to day operational activities of a team who have responsibility for daily operational tasks in a customarily recognized department or functional area of the organization.
- Assist with all personnel management, ensure appropriate wage and work hour laws are followed, and provide input to goal setting for the functional area.
- Advise IT Management about project status and schedules, and take corrective action on escalated problems.
- Provide job instruction and assign work to exempt employees and/or nonexempt employees engaged in technical tasks related to Information Technology operations and maintenance.
- Write and conduct employee performance reviews and provide ongoing performance feedback with management consultation. Advocate for employees and communicate compensation changes.
- Make hiring recommendations.
- Frequently interact with department management and other departments for purposes of gaining cooperation, exchanging technical information, and presenting project plans and reports.
- May provide reports or data points as input to senior management on function-wide metrics and performance.
- Provide regular status updates and reports to Manager.
- Required to perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs.
Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used
- Successful track record of executing IT operational responsibilities, along with participating in, developing and completing projects in area of expertise.
- Ability to implement and enforce processes to ensure compliance and quality.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at the departmental level.
- Ability to communicate the function’s vision and the department’s direction, and set aligned goals for team.
- Emerging leadership skills.
- Communication: Provides others with reliable information and uses good listening and communication skills.
Typical Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Typical Range of Experience
- 3-5 years of directly related technical experience such as a senior contributor.
- 2+ years supervisory or team leader experience in a similar technical environment.
Pay Range: $108,350- $143,022 Annually
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
