About the Team:
Our team develops, maintains, and operates the transportation big data platform and data access environments, enabling analysts to perform their research effectively. We have a diverse and highly technical team that embraces a high-trust culture of speed, risk-taking, and technical excellence. Having experts in a wide variety of domains (e.g., big data infrastructure, deep learning, software architecture, aviation data, etc.), we rely on regular cross-functional collaboration within our high-tempo environment, promoting organizational learning and ensuring quality is baked-in.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and monitor data analytics that produce high quality data

Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, Mathematics, or other physical science/engineering fields), or equivalent practical experience
- Capable of obtaining & maintaining a US government clearance
- Experience with software development using Java, Python, and/or another high-level programming language
- Experience with data science techniques, data analysis, modeling, and visualization using Python, R, and/or Clojure
- Experience with Git version control software
- Familiarity with big data, distributed systems, and/or cloud platforms (Hadoop, AWS, Spark, Kafka, etc.)
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps principles and practices
- Comfortable learning new languages and ideas
- Creative problem solvers and risk takers
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates, technical partners, and stakeholders
