The Surgical Services Nurse Educator will join a 300+ bed medical center and will play an integral role in this hospital's Nurse Education team. This hospital is apart of a well-established health system in Los Angeles and is a key health resource in its community. This medical center is also a Level 1 Trauma Center and was recognized in Becker’s Hospital Review “Great Community Hospitals List 2023”.
The Surgical Services Nurse Educator will work alongside multiple Unit Nurse Managers while implementing educational programs. The Nurse Educator will work with Registered Nurses in the Operating Room, Pre/Op and PACU. The Nurse Educator will lead a variety of training activities and ensure core competencies are completed. The Surgical Services Nurse Educator will function as a resource throughout their department and will promote professional development of the nurses in their speciality. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in Surgical Services and will also have experience working as a Preceptor or Nurse Educator.
