Steampunkis looking for a leader that has a drive to increase the performance of a great team of ISSOs and Cybersecurity professionals within a federal client within the Washington DC area. The Director of this work will be responsible for all aspects of what this program does and fails to do. Individuals with great experience leading teams in Risk Management Framework (RMF), ISSO, DevSecOps, and Cybersecurity are ideally suited for this role. We want you to grow here at Steampunk! The team is currently a geographically dispersed organization of over 120 team members spread across the DC metro area and the continental United States. Supporting a variety of clients and systems, you should possess experience in leading in this type of geographic model with support from a small PMO staff section and leaders supervising the work of small teams of ISSOs and reporting directly to the Program Managers who report to you, as the director.

Qualifications
Leadership. If you don't know the difference between that and management, this just isn't going to work out.
Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of relevant leadership experience supporting government IT and cyber security programs
At least one security certification (CISSP, CISM or GIAC), with a strong preference toward the CISSP certification.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Strong understanding of federal CISO responsibilities, and experience in multiple roles, including:
Information System Security Officer (ISSO)
Incident Responder / Network Security Analyst
Compliance Analyst
Security Architect
Security Engineer
Security Control Assessor
IT Auditor
Experience in Agile and DevSecOps
Program and contract management for upwards of 80+ FTEs
Experience interfacing with federal Contracting officials
Experience with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) strongly preferred
Local to the DC Metro Area
Will require working in the Tysons office 3 days a week
