The Project Manager manages facility construction, remodel, and renovation projects from planning through activation and occupancy. May simultaneously manage several projects ($10K to $5M each) in addition to multiple less complex projects.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Develop a draft project scope, schedule, and budgetary estimate.Present to internal Cost and Schedule Review Board, end user, and other responsible parties for approval.
Act as a liaison with end users to determine scope of project requirements, available budget, and required project timeframe.
Select design consultant and develop scope of services and contract.Administrate consultant performance, including adherence to project scope, quality of work, and adherence to design schedule.
Evaluate existing facility for ADA, Fire and JCAHO compliance and ensure follow-through and documentation, where applicable.
Manage and track procurement of construction services including CM at Risk GMP, Design-Build, and lump sum.Project types include new construction, renovation, and campus infrastructure.
Have oversight of entire project delivery through activation including coordination of medical equipment and IT.
Work with the contractor to ensure paperwork and permits are completed and filled out in a timely manner. Quality control, schedule, and cost oversite.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
BS in Architecture, Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering or related field preferred. (Experience may substitute for education requirements).
Demonstrated experience (four years) working as a project manager in a healthcare, architectural, or engineering environment.
In-depth knowledge of architectural or engineering design and trades.Knowledge of California healthcare construction and of JCAHO, ADA, and HCAI standards.
Excellent human relation skills
