Role Overview:
As an AP Consultant, you will play a critical role in optimizing our accounts payable processes and ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, implement best practices, and leverage technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This is a hands-on role that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and drive positive change within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, validation, approval, and payment.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain positive vendor relationships.
Lead the transition to electronic invoicing and automated AP solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
Conduct regular audits of AP data and processes to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risk.
Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on AP processes, systems, and tools.
Collaborate with IT and finance teams to integrate AP systems with other financial systems and applications.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in accounts payable and recommend opportunities for process optimization and innovation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with a proven track record of process improvement and optimization.
Strong understanding of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures.
Experience with AP automation software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
