Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for managing assigned projects from initiation to delivery, including project definition, assignment of responsibilities, organizing project teams, setting deadlines, and monitoring expenses. This position manages all or most phases of the project and resources, utilizing industry standard project management tools and techniques. Ensures that all phases of the project are completed per project timeline and budget. In collaboration with key stakeholders this role identifies and resolves obstacles to completing projects on time and within budget.
** This full-time benefited role is anticipated to last for one (1) year from date of hire with the possibility to extend per operational needs. This role is expected to be remote.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as a key point of contact for the Academic HR data and system build for Oracle implementation, enhancements, and future phases.
Utilizes knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Academic enterprise, hierarchy structure, working titles, faculty compensation, reporting requirements and end-user needs.
Develops alternative solutions to overcome system limitations.
Applies problem-solving techniques to identify opportunities for improvement and facilitate change.
Demonstrates influencing and negotiating skills to navigate competing priorities.
Regularly communicates and provides program/project updates to HR leadership and project teams.
Identifies key touch points for stakeholder/organizational communication and communicates verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences internally and externally.
Prepares and presents reports to all levels of leadership.
Manages activities, deliverables, and deadlines across assigned projects.
Creates and updates project work plans, prioritizes work, and manages multiple project teams to meet key deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
Proactively identifies potential project barriers and delays and manages competing priorities and relationships with stakeholders, champions, and executive sponsors to resolve issues.
Facilitates oversight committees and provides guidance and expertise to project team and leadership relating to the nuances of Academic population and data.
Qualifications
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED.
Bachelor’s degree in health care, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Five (5) years of experience in Program or Project Management, Project support and/or leadership.
Two (2) + years of experience in academic health system, working with faculty with complex, matrix reporting relationships is highly preferred.
