Academy and PC 832 (within the last three years) The following training will be provided by the District upon hire: Completion of a 24-hour School Security Guard Training in accordance with Education Code 38001.5 (SB 1626), School Emergency Trauma Intervention course, a Traffic Management and Control course, and a Security Bicycle Patrol. The following professional certifications must be attained within the first year of employment: Drug and Alcohol Influence Recognition P.O.S.T. Certificate School Police/SRO P.O.S.T. Certificate Interview and Interrogation P.O.S.T. Certificate FEMA IS-00100.SCa: Incident Command System for Schools FEMA IS-00200.a: ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents FEMA ICS 300: Intermediate Incident Command for Expanding Incidents FEMA IS-00700.a: National Incident Management System (Introduction)

EXAMINATION INFORMATION: All applicants must pass a multiple-choice School Safety Officer skills test and a District Agility test in order to proceed into the next phase of the interview process. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Must be insurable by the District liability insurance carrier. All employment offers are conditional, based upon the successful completion of the following: Fingerprint/background clearance, and a tuberculosis clearance. A physical examination clearance is required for certain positions for the district. All candidates with a record of convictions must indicate such on the confidential data form, which is attached to the job application. A record of conviction will not automatically disqualify an applicant from employment, but a failure to list all convictions may result in disqualification or dismissal.
