GATEWAY MEN’s PROGRAM MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the V.P. of Men’s Ministry, will oversee the Gateway Men’s Program and supervise staff. Will also be responsible for promoting a safe and secure environment for our guests.
GATEWAY MEN’s PROGRAM MANAGER CORE WORK PRINCIPLE:

GATEWAY MEN’s PROGRAM MANAGER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead, manage and direct Gateway Men’s program staff in their essential functions and responsibilities; and ensure compliance with organization and program guidelines.
- Promote Christian virtues in all relationships throughout the Mission as described in Matt. 7:12, Ephesians 4:2-3, & Phil. 2:3-8. Teach and influence guests (Titus 2:2-8) to love in one accord for Christ and His kingdom (1Cor. 13:1-7).
- Assist in staff placement appropriate to the program's needs.
- Approve and manage employee timecards.
- Monitor and report all Gateway Men floor operations that include the second-floor dorm, first-floor dayroom, baggage room, showers, clothing room, smoking area, and designated emergency services locations to ensure an environment that is conducive to safety and rest.
- Manage conflict resolution by identifying, addressing, and resolving disagreements, concerns, and/or disputes in an amicable manner.
- Assist with intake protocols, Mission Tracker assessments and outcomes, program policies and procedures, staff training and curriculum for any classes offered to guests.
- Collaborate with CLDP staff to provide seamless continuum care of all single men in our facility.
- Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by the VP of Men’s Ministry.

GATEWAY MEN’s PROGRAM MANAGER SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
- Conduct interviews, assist in hiring staff, orientate employees, provide coaching and development, assist with employee relations, plan coordinator(s) and staff schedules as best suited for the program.
- Provide staff competency reports to the VP of Men’s Ministry.
GATEWAY MEN’s PROGRAM MANAGER PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

GATEWAY MEN’s PROGRAM MANAGER WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- The office is clean, orderly, properly lit, and ventilated.
- Noise levels are considered low to moderate.
- This position predominantly works indoors in a high traffic office setting.
GATEWAY MEN’s PROGRAM MANAGER EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSURES:
- Master’s Level of Education in Theology, Ministry or Social Work.
- Three years (post-graduation) progressively responsible experience in pastoral/church staff and/or social services/community relations environment.
- Minimum two years’ experience within a residential program for mental health, domestic violence, recovery, or a similar service.
- Valid California Driver’s License and the ability to be added to the company vehicle insurance policy.
GATEWAY MEN’s PROGRAM MANAGER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and human relations skills.
- A thorough knowledge of the behavior, character and emotional issues of the clients served at URM.
- Proven ability to lead by example in promoting a biblical model that is representative of URM’s cultural values by having a humble heart attitude, treating others with kindness and truth, high emotional intelligence, and zealous in achieving work related objectives without any personal agendas.
- Competent in problem-solving, multi-tasking, managing conflict, and emergencies.
- Excellent decision-making skills.
- Thorough understanding of leading and managing ministry teams.
