About the role:
The Cardiac Diagnostics BG 360 Account Manager develops, maintains and expands relationships with strategically important large customers. The role will be assigned to a limited number of named customers, responsible for achieving sales quota and achieving assigned account objectives. The Strategic Account Manager represents the entire range of Boston Scientific's products and solutions to the dedicated customers, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring that the customers’ needs, and expectations are met by the company.
Your responsibilities will include:
- This position is tasked with driving strategic account management collaboration across the company's different business units within the cluster to ensure there is a single coherent solution and engagement strategy in place for these key customers.
- Establish professional relationships internally and within assigned key customers, develop and reinforce relationships at C-Suite level.
- Proactively assess clarify and validate customer needs and strategic objectives on an ongoing basis.
- Proactively leads the Strategic account mapping and planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets and critical milestones for a mid- term period.
- Lead cross divisional and cross functional contract negotiations involving all company products – enabling practical inclusion of value-adds and realization of savings including product innovation and services & solutions.
- Co-ordinate involvement of Boston’s divisions and functions within the focus accounts in order to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations.
- Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
- Participate in regular reviews of top accounts. Track growth and Market Share in top accounts vs other accounts and sales in top accounts versus plan.
- Act as an ambassador of the Solutions initiative and of Outcomes Selling within the company.
- Promote BSC innovation and drive whole system value of key technologies.
- Partner with Healthcare Economics and Corporate Accounts team to monitor reimbursement trends, develop and execute the approach to include new technologies and maintain BSC products in the reimbursement system.
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with equivalent field clinical/sales experience.
- Minimum of 5 years medical device, pharmaceutical, or related sales experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience selling cardiac monitoring equipment or cardiac related devices.
- Direct selling experience to physicians and hospitals.
- History and relationships with key players in the cardiac monitoring industry.
- Must have a technical aptitude; be able to discuss, explain software algorithms.
- Strong interpersonal skills, requires good communication skills, both verbal and written, and able to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people (physicians, office staff, etc.).
The anticipated annualized base salary for this part-time position will be $50,000 plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. Actual compensation will be commensurate with a demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
