The Senior Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and partner closely with the Company's finance team to drive the Company's strategic, financial, and operational plans. The ideal candidate has strong business and financial analysis skills to ensure the success of company strategies. Perform various month-end general ledger account reconciliations. Prepare certain necessary month-end, half-end and year-end supporting documentation for the accounting close. Participate in the preparation of various financial statements, reports and analyses for the North America wholesale and E-commerce businesses. Develop, analyze and interpret accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the business. Interact with various levels of management within the Company, including Executive, Sales, Marketing, Design, etc. and provide financial business support to these teams. Work with Sales managers to ensure accurate financial treatment of sales programs. Assist financial planning personnel with building North America wholesale and e-commerce operating expense budgets/forecasts. Review budget vs. actual results for operating expenses and provide explanations of variances. Support executive management team in managing key areas of the budget to ensure expenses are controlled effectively. Review accounts payable batches for proper GL coding in order to ensure accurate expense tracking. Manage and track capital expenditures. Provide support and aid to internal and external audits. Perform all duties under internal control guidelines Qualifications A Bachelor's or equivalent degree from an accredited university in accounting or finance. Licensed Certified Public Accountant a plus 3 years of Public Accounting experience and 2 years of industry experience preferred. Solid understanding of finance principals and concepts based on US GAAP - Advanced Excel skills required. Ability to work independently and effectively analyze and solve problems. Advanced analytical and strong modeling skills. Experience in the development and implementation of business-wide finance strategies and programs. Flexibility to perform effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with emphasis on meeting tight deadlines. A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
