Supports the planning and design for water/wastewater projects. Conduct engineering analysis: identify the problem, develop and evaluate alternative solutions, and prepare recommendations. Prepare models, technical reports, preliminary/detailed design documents, engineering specifications, and perform calculations in support of engineering activities. Conduct field investigations to identify project needs and to perform construction inspections. Review vendor information to assure compliance with specifications. Perform equipment selection and prepare technical specifications. Assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects. Communicate effectively with clients and project teams to present alternatives, technical recommendations, and develop collaborative solutions . Develop, review, and prepare engineering plans for water and wastewater projects. Provide review, quality assurance, and quality control for designs develop by others. Develop and mentor junior staff, provide quality guidance, and assist with project management. Managing deliverables to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
- 5 years of work experience in the job offered or related engineering occupation
Special Skills or Other Requirements:
- Expertise/ knowledge of:
- Process engineering
- Water and wastewater treatment processes, such as water reuse, membrane treatment technology and reverse osmosis.
- Fluid dynamic/process modeling.
- Preparing equipment specifications and vendor engagement.
- Preparing technical reports and bid documents to support project specific designs.

The base salary range for this position is $129,064 to $161,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
