The Service Express Center team’s mission is to work together to create an effective business model for managing on demand services in our hospitals. As a Service Express Representative, you will communicate and dispatch a wide variety of customer service requests with exceptional and timely customer service. You will be able to support caregivers who are taking care of patients while learning about multiple different roles throughout the organization. Your primary duties will include but are not limited to:
• Accepting, releasing, and logging patients, guests, and staff's personal items.
• Determining the type of service, urgency of work, and information for data input.

Responsibilities:
- Dispatches and processes requested services in a high call volume environment.
- Determines appropriate service type, urgency of work requested, and deciphers information for data input into the appropriate software application.
- Coordinates processing and reconciliation of expirations and autopsies between multiple departments, institutes, regional hospitals and outside entities.

Education:
- High school diploma or GED.
Certifications:
- Notary Public (NP) preferred.
Complexity of Work:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service-related role, front desk or call center experience in a high volume area.
- Prior job experience with typing or computer training or equivalent coursework.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Microsoft Office experience preferred.
- Critical thinking, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, written and communication skills with exceptional customer service.
- Significant attention to detail.
- Knowledge of personal computers sufficient to input/extract data via computer.
- Strong problem-solving skills required to coordinate multiple resources and requests.
- Ability to work with various service requests software application, shared network drives and Microsoft Suite applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
- Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
- In some locations, ability to move up to 10 pounds
