ARG is partnered with a highly profitable $50M product manufacturer and ecommerce company, in growth mode. This will be the right hand to the CEO and be a driver of all things finance and accounting while leading a team of 4 accounting members.
This position will require someone highly competent who thoroughly understands manufacturing cost accounting, inventory accounting, and corporate finance and accounting. This position is for a high performer who is highly ambitious, forward-thinking, loves puzzles, and finds solutions to problems.
This position will be the highest ranking finance and accounting member of the organization, reporting directly to the CEO.

Hybrid Schedule:
First week on the job will be in office 5 days/week then will shift to 3 days in office after a few weeks, and can have additional flexibility once proven.
Compensation: up to $180-200k base + lucrative bonus + LTIP (would prefer to offer substantial bonus potential vs higher base salary).

Cost Accounting
Develop and manage a dynamic system of standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead across all product lines.
Collaborate with teams to gather financial data, ensuring accurate cost allocation and pricing strategies.
Conduct regular cost analyses to identify variances, measure production efficiency, and optimize costs. Annually review standard cost assumptions, adjusting as needed. Manage inventory levels and reserves effectively. Manufacturing and Distribution Controls
Implement internal controls, working with operations to address inefficiencies and cost drivers.
Monitor key performance indicators for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Oversee inventory cycle counting and annual physical counts.
Analyze discrepancies and recommend improvements.
Financial Reporting & Analytics
Prepare budget, forecasts, identify trends, metrics, KPI's, and model strategic initiatives to present and discuss with ELT.
Prepare accurate financial reports and lead month-end close processes.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain detailed variance reconciliations.
Generate insightful monthly variance reports for management.
Support audits and resolve findings.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Assist in capital expenditure project prioritization and tracking ROI.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Provide mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Minimum 8 years' experience in cost accounting, including 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost structures.
Proven experience in standard cost systems management.
Excellent analytical, A+ communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
