Description
The Anaheim Convention Center (ACC) reigns as the largest exhibit facility on the West Coast, having hosted such large, well-attended events as the Winter NAMM Show, Disney's D23 Expo and Citrix Synergy. Originally opened in 1967, the ACC currently spans 53 acres and the offers 1.6 million square feet of function space and many dynamic features. The ACC completed its seventh expansion in Fall of 2017, providing an additional 200,000 square feet of flexible meeting space to our guests.
Under general supervision serves as the field supervisor to, the Parking Lot Cashiers and Parking Lot Attendants; performs a variety of duties including the oversight of parking lot operations, customer service and public safety watches.

This is a part-time position usually averaging 30 hours per week. A minimum number of hours is not guaranteed.
Essential Functions
The following functions are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all of the listed functions and/or may be required to perform additional or different functions from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.
Participates in selection, training, and supervision of event staff; provides input on performance and evaluations; disciplines only up to counseling session.
Obtain knowledge of types of events reporting to and the clientele attending. Stay abreast of the event schedule including the type of event and attendees.
Monitor staff’s performance in and assist with the prevention of unauthorized vehicles entering parking lots without payment during trade shows or conventions, public events, and non-contracted facility areas at any time.
Respond to guests regarding complaints; ensure customer service needs are met and adhere to the policies and guidelines of the Anaheim Convention Center.
Respond to adverse situations quickly, determine the best course of action, and implement any changes needed.
Monitor the receipt of parking fees and the handling of payment for the parking lot captains and parking lot cashiers to ensure proper handling and accountability. Responsible for accounting and monitoring of large amounts of cash/credit cards, e-payments, and daily cash deposits (when needed) and credit card reconciliation.
Prepare reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for a variety of cash and non-cash-related items. Examples: Daily Cashier Summary, Monthly Vault reconciliation, Car Projections, and Event Summary Reports.
Create schedules for Parking Lot Captains, Cahiers, and Attendants in a proprietary computerized scheduling system.
Work with staff of the Anaheim Police Department, Traffic Management Center, Disneyland, and event management staff to execute parking and traffic plans.
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
Experience: Prior journey-level experience working with parking and supervising events and event personnel. Must have 2-3 years of large-volume cash handling or credit card reconciliation experience.
Knowledge of: Must possess basic math skills and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel.
Ability to: Supervise and lead event employees, communicate orally and deal effectively and diplomatically with the public, supervisors, and fellow employees; stand and walk for extended periods of time, work in inclement weather; be available to permit scheduling during weekdays, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
Environment/Working Conditions: Environmental Conditions: Due to the nature of work assignments, incumbents work outside in inclement weather and contact with grease, oil, smoke, fumes, and gases.
Physical Conditions: Due to the nature of work assignments, incumbents stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Supervision Received and Exercised:
Work under general supervision from the Parking Supervisor who gives general guidance and direction. Performance is reviewed periodically.
Provides moderate supervision to Parking Lot Captains, Attendants, and Cashiers.
Note: These are event-related positions. While the hours of work are irregular and no minimum number of hours is guaranteed, employees are expected to be available for an average of twenty hours per week. Availability to permit scheduling during weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned may be required.
