Job Abstract

St. Catherine Laboure School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Junior High Math Teacher (6th-8th grade) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics education, a commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment, and a desire to integrate Catholic teachings into their classroom.

Responsibilities:
– Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum
– Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
– Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to enhance student understanding of mathematical concepts
– Implement formative and summative assessments to measure student progress and inform instruction
– Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary connections and promote a cohesive learning experience
– Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and academic concerns

– Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
– Valid teaching certification/license
– Prior experience teaching mathematics at the junior high level preferred
– Practicing Catholic
– Proficiency in integrating technology to enhance instruction

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
