Knack Works is seeking a Systems Engineer to help coordinate our development, deployment, and maintenance of our services and systems to a government customer. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated experience working across multiple areas of the System Engineering lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with Government customers and their representatives regarding program status and deliverables
Coordination of hardware installations at customer sites
Conduct internal coordination with multiple matrixed teams to ensure program success
Build and maintain program plans and program schedules
Maintain and manage updates to system documentation
Build training material and conduct training sessions with system users
Seamlessly implement technical architectures into cloud infrastructure, including design, maintenance, support, and planning
Work through the development lifecycle with cloud technologies, including CI/CD releases
Help deploy and maintain services applications as needed
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Bachelors in Business Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or 4 years of relevant work experience
Minimum 10 years of technical engineering experience with at least 8 years of experience working within the Intelligence Community
Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
Demonstrated experience with NSIS and System Engineering lifecycles
Experience working within an incremental development framework
Ability to coordinate within a diverse group of technical experts
Must be willing to work on-site in Chantilly, Virginia or Denver, Colorado
Preferred:
Demonstrated experience providing technical documentation and presentations to customers
Working knowledge of Linux
Experience with Kubernetes environments
Familiarity with Data Center Operations
Current DoD 8570 IAT II Certification (Security ) or higher certification or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of starting role
