Peraton is seeking a Summer 2024 HR Intern to support our Corporate Human Resources team based out of Reston, VA location but will be supporting in a hybrid fashion.
We are searching for a highly motivated, energetic intern looking to make a positive impact learning from HR Business Partner team in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
Onboarding- Developing and reviewing sector onboarding communications and outreach to new employees. Pulling and analyzing onboarding survey data and exit survey data to identify themes and trends. Assisting with HR focus groups to understand what is working and where we have opportunities for improvement.
Retention/Metrics- Assist and review monthly attrition metrics by sector and BU in preparation for Monthly Business Review (MBR). Assist with preparing materials for leadership meetings.
Performance Management- Run reports and send emails to managers and employees regarding FY23 Performance Review close out, FY24 Goal Setting, and Talent Profile completion. Update and monitor Employee Relations tracker. Assisting with HR intake and reviewing documentation for performance improvement plans (PIPs) and Job Counselings.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
US Citizenship is required.
HS diploma and some advanced level training.
Must be actively pursuing, or recently obtained, a 4-year degree at an accredited university majoring in Human Resources, Communications, Business, Psychology or related field.
You must have the ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft office.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Desire to learn the processes and technologies used by HRBPs.
Willingness to take direction from and collaborate with other team members.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in addition to time management skills.
Must be local to the Reston, VA area able to commute on-site a few times per week.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience through coursework or internships.
Previous HRIS experience (Workday).
