Position Summary:
The incumbent works independently and is responsible for all medical records of the clinic. Incumbent is also responsible for accurately: pulling medical records for patient care and non-patient care purposes, filing medical records, processing documents and filing them in the physical record, maintaining integrity of the records, maintaining and assisting in the maintenance of automated databases relating to the records, delivering records to and from various departments, answering telephone calls and maintaining the workplace to ensure efficient and effective operations in the clinic. Must maintain professional interactions with patients, staff, management and physicians.

Salary Range:
Hourly Rate Minimum $21.02 Midpoint $24.38 Maximum $27.74
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge of medical terminology
Previous clerical experience
Previous experience working with medical files
Demonstrated knowledge of alpha/numeric filing systems
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in the department and across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of University policies and procedures
