The Asset Protection-Safety Manager will oversee the security, safety, and protection of NFI’s personnel, guests, property, assets, and equipment, to include those entrusted to us by customers and clients. The incumbent will manage all security, loss prevention, and safety related processes throughout one of NFI’s Valued Customer and Business Partner’s operations footprint. The area of oversight will include the customer’s portfolio of facilities. The incumbent will lead all security and safety training, conduct security/safety assessments, evaluations, investigations, as well as any other asset protection-safety related duties as requested. This position reports directly to the Operation’s Regional VP, and is to be co-managed by the Region’s Security and Safety Directors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Effectively partner with NFI Operations and our Customer’s Leadership in evaluating current and future security services, loss prevention, and safety initiatives
- Serve as the facility Loss Prevention, Security, Safety, and Crisis Management subject matter expert keeping leadership informed on key issues, strategies, and the department’s overall performance
- Develop Security Strategies, Internal Loss Prevention-Safety Programs to create a positive culture instilling best practices throughout the workplace
- Create internal awareness programs inspiring associates to take action through a “See Something, Say Something” type of a loss prevention and safety initiatives
- Create, maintain, and manage facility Emergency Drills and Response initiatives
- Promote and execute loss prevention, security, and safety best practicesby participating in daily shift and campus level meetings with facility associates and leadership
- Lead, conduct, and deliver results regarding internal investigations of Theft, Fraud, Workplace Violence, Safety, and Critical Incidents
- Deliver results through policy Guidance, Education, and Mitigation strategies to help meet Puma’s business demandswith shrinkage and safety related issues
- Analyze data, conduct internal audits, and identify trends online to create actionable plans to mitigate shrinkage
- Ensure internal controls are met pursuant to US Customs Free Trade Zone regulations as they relate to facility access controls, physical security initiatives, facility/yard inventory control, and record keeping
- Audit and manage the facility’s physical security infrastructure (i.e., intrusion detection, access control, security cameras) ensuring functionally and effective performance of all systems
- Inspire performance excellence and oversight on the part of all contract security service team members and safety champions who service Puma facilities.
- Maintain confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues in the workplace
- Prepare prompt and complete reports relative to internal investigations, process improvement, loss prevention, security, and safety programs
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of 3PL-Warehousing or campus-style security-safety management, with a focus on managing multiple locations, personnel, scheduling, and equipment yards.
- Knowledge of all aspects of the 3PL/Warehousing Industry - preferred.
- Proficient with CTPAT and FTZ program requirements and inspections - preferred.
- Proficient in CCTV, Access Control and Yard Management Systems (YMS) - preferred.
- Strong management presence.
- Excellent communication (verbal, written and listening) and presentation skills. Ability to speak and read Spanish a plus
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
- Ability and history of handling a large internal customer base
- Ability and history of overseeing a large footprint of locations
- Ability and history of analyzing data to make informed decisions
- Ability and history of applying technical knowledge to produce results and make improvements
- Ability and history of demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset in suggesting and overseeing appropriate changes to make the organization more successful
- Ability and availability to work irregular hours as needed.
- Possess OSHA Safety Certification - preferred
We are excited to share the base salary for this position is $80,000.00- $100,000.00. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, targeted at 7.5%. NFI takes into consideration applicants'qualifications, experience, education, geographic location, when determining a starting rate of pay.
