CSUF Extension is currently seeking instructors for a three-week summer program. The program will involve approximately 15-20 high school students from Brazil.
The classes will primarily focus on leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The dates of the program are July 1 – July 19, 2024. Instructors should be available Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and will teach for 45 hours during the three weeks.
Essential Duties
The instructors will manage their time and fulfill responsibilities within the required timeline.
Attend an orientation with human resources and a planning meeting to look at materials, go over teaching strategies and discuss the classes.
Prepare instructional materials, lesson planning, and additional assessment measures as needed throughout the program.
Engage students in the class discussions and activities and ensure to provide quality lectures and meaningful learning experiences to students.
Observe and evaluate students’ performance and collect feedback from students during the program (as needed).
Attend and participate in events as needed.
Upon completion of the program, provide program recommendations.
Instructors will be compensated at a non-instructional rate for their time.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Enthusiasm in working with high school students, leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship-related teaching and working experience are required.
EDUCATION:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum Master’s degree in business related preferred.

Walking, talking, hearing, pulling, bending, carrying 10-15 pounds of objects/material, not exposed to extreme noise level, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, taste or smell.
