Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking to hire a Repair & Overhaul Mechanical Technician II at our Burbank, CA location.
Schedule: This shift is Monday - Friday, 10am - 6pm.
Job Description:
To test, evaluate, and perform the repair, modification or overhaul of customer returned mechanical units to manufacturing specifications using maintenance manuals, test procedures, manufacturing outlines, or blueprints per customer requirements and in compliance with all FAA regulations.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for evaluating and estimating the time and parts that are required to complete the repair, modification, or overhaul.
· Responsible for selecting and requisitioning replacement parts as required.
· Responsible for reassembling units and replacing parts, including potting, and lock-wire as required to complete the repair, modification, or overhaul.
· Accountable for the time, parts, and quality of work performed on the unit and the accurate recording of these on all applicable paperwork.
· Responsible to perform work within all related ISO 9001 work instructions and procedures.
· Responsible to continuously pursue process improvement and cooperatively participate in all team activities.
Knowledge and Experience:
· Minimum of 2 years current experience in the overhaul, modification, and repair of aircraft mechanical components.
· Must have the ability to read, understand, and follow manuals, blueprints, and all written work instructions and procedures.
· Must be able to use all hand tools.
· Must be able to function and participate in a team environment.
· FAA repairman's certificate preferred, but not required.
Employment Eligibility Requirement: This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Working Conditions:
- Working conditions are normal for a repair station environment
- Repair operations may require the use of safety equipment ( P ersonal P rotective E quipment) to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
- May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
- May require occasional travel to support customer

Salary range: $27.41/hr. to $34.26/hr. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
