Position Overview:
Freddie Mac’s Modeling, Econometrics, Data Science & Analytics (MEDA) group is seeking a Quantitative Analytics Sr to join a modeling and analytics group to support business requests, research ideas to improve the FOCAS credit model, perform analytics, and respond to ad hoc requests.

The MEDA organization builds models and analytics to advance the strategies of the Single-Family business so that Freddie Mac can help get people into homes they can afford and keep.
Your Impact:
Researching and finding solutions to improve the credit risk forecasting models such as FOCAS.
Ad hoc research to support business requests such as addressing questions and concerns and to support finding remediation.
Support model governance related activities including analytics, controls, reports, implementation testing, and documentation.
Promote an environment that supports diversity, equity and inclusion.
Qualifications:
Superior modeling and analytical skills.
Strong technical skills in processing data and programming in SAS, Python, or similar language(s).
Graduate degree with advanced studies/degree in economics/statistics/mathematics/financial engineering or related fields preferred.
Ph.D. or Master degree with 3 years of equivalent work experience, in quantitative finance, statistics, economics or a related quantitative field

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $118,000 - $178,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
