Develops and oversees plant maintenance, plant operations, and grounds for Norris Hospital and Norris Topping Tower and leased spaces to provide proactive, responsive, maintenance, testing and repairs of all mechanical, electrical facilities equipment and infrastructure. Perform routine, complex and specialized tasks involved in the above. Works with the Director of Facilities to prepare the annual department budget and tracks monthly labor, materials and purchase services costs.
The annual base salary range for this position is $81,120- $133,010. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
Minimum Education:
• It is preferable that the baccalaureate degree be in mechanical engineering or a related field. The education and/or experience background must also have demonstrated the ability to write clearly such material as reports and analyses, read and interpret complex written materials, and solve complex problems logically and systematically.
Minimum Experience/Knowledge:
• Five (5) years minimum management/supervisory experience in the facilities department of a hospital.
Required License/Certification:
• Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
