The Crisis Team member is an authorized Licensed Mental Health Professional, having completed all requirements for Los Angeles County LPS designation to evaluate and/or place mentally disordered persons meeting criteria for Involuntary Hospitalizations on 5150 Holds to Verdugo Hills Hospital for 72-hour emergency intervention. The Crisis Team Member will coordinate assessment information with the Medical Director, Program Director and/or Clinical Director/Charge Nurse and appropriate Community Agencies prior to disposition or transport. ?
The hourly rate range for this position is $29.00 - $45.20. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
Experience/Knowledge:
- Minimum three years current experience as a Licensed Mental Health Professional working with adult, geriatric and orthopedic patients, recent psychiatric experience preferred.
License/Certification:
- Licensed Mental Health Professional.
- Current BCLS certification
- AB 508 Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer into the department, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
