Job Description
The Research Lab Tech I reports to Dr. Ha Youn Lee and works as part of a research team. This person will provide general laboratory assistance to support her lab research activities. Dr. Lee’s lab is studying HIV intrahost evolution by combining next-generation sequencing of viral genome, mathematical modelings, and statistical inferences. This individual will perform bioinformatics analysis and assist in mathematical and statistical modeling efforts. This is a good opportunity to engage in clinical research and master bioinformatics pipelines for analyzing next-generation sequencing data. Cutting-edge next-generation sequencing is being actively applied to a wide range of medical research. Effective oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
The hourly rate range for this position is $13.22 - $22.00.
