The HR Business Center Manager oversees the HR Business Center day-to-day operations and provides centralized human resource services related to human resources. Establishes standards and procedures for handling employee questions, transactions, and administration of human resource programs. Identifies, implements and/or maintains HR processes and workflows are being met within scope of HR Business Center operations. Ensures that Business Center is adequately staffed, appropriately cross-trained, and maintains performance standards while operating within budget. Provides ongoing coaching and operational support to staff and stakeholders. The HR Business Center Manager will ensure that changing HR Business Center needs are addressed in the most responsive and efficient manner possible with a focus on providing exceptional service to the Organization. This role will focus on efficiency, excellent customer service, continuous improvement and execution of service level agreements and practices that support the Keck Medical Center of USC direction and vision.
Essential Duties:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, functions and duties ensuring adherence to service level standards and metrics.
- Lead and oversee system processing, HR transactions, process improvement initiatives, and maintaining central point of contact for all employees, leaders, and others throughout the organization for all HR inquiries or concerns.
- Support the design and documentation of procedures and processes, metrics, training materials, and team resources to support development of Business Service Center
- Collaborate with the HR leadership team to develop and implement HR initiatives and projects that support the overall HR strategy and goals.
- Collaborate with HR business partners and other stakeholders to understand their needs and proactively address any issues or concerns related to HR Business Center delivery
- Ensure Business Center resolutions based on assigned access and other HR systems-related support
- Monitor and analyze HR Business Center metrics and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement with a focus around employee performance, team building and development, and drive actionable insights
- Develop and monitor performance and plan resource allocation to ensure adequate coverage and adherence to service level agreements
- Provide guidance, operational standards, and leadership to team, which includes process building, training, mentoring, day-to-day oversight of service delivery, problem resolution, and support change management
- Lead and/or participate in ad hoc projects
- Lead process efficiency, monitoring of workload and the implementation of the improvement projects
- Identify the potential for better team efficiencies and collaborate with leader on their implementation
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in HR Business Center delivery, ensuring that the organization remains competitive and aligned with industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Req Bachelor's degree In Human Resources Management, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field required.
- Req 5-7 years HR Business Service Center or related experience.
- Req 1 - 3 years Supervisor and/or Lead experience in a related field
- Req Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, HRMS and LMS Systems.
- Req Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Req Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Req Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure HR meets organizational needs and goals.
- Req Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of at least one or more HRIS products
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pref Prefer experience with any of the following systems: Workday, HealthStream, Cornerstone, Kronos, or Document Management Systems.
- Pref HR Certification HR Certification Preferred.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
The annual base salary range for this position is $95,680.00 - $158,230.00.
