The USC Keck School of Medicine, Division of Hematology is looking for a motivated and hard-working Research Associate to support clinical/translational research by performing laboratory analysis of clinical specimens from clinical trials of new cancer drugs for patients. Will conduct research projects involving treatment of viral associated cancers. Prefer experience in cell biology and tissue culture also experience in animal work, i.e., breeding, injections and tumor models.
The position requires the successful applicant to have prior research experience and a continued interest in working with laboratory rodents. The incumbent for this position will perform animal husbandry and breeding, along with assisting in various animal procedures performed as part of research protocols. In addition, routine molecular biology, biochemistry, histological/imaging and cell culture techniques will be performed in the laboratory. The successful applicant will be expected to have excellent data management, record keeping, communication, team building, and computer skills with basic molecular biology programs and spreadsheets, data analysis and graphing.
