As a Pulmonary Rehab Coordinator, your primary duties will include:
• Supervising and directing all respiratory care delivered by Respiratory Therapy Section personnel to ensure quality of patient care, adherence to policy and the promotion of academic change.
•Working closely with our Pulmonary, Asthma and Allergy department to identify and improve asthma treatments.
•Working on various organizational improvement strategies.

Responsibilities:
- Participates in the supervision of staff, development of departmental goals, and the development/maintenance of departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensures services/programs adhere to TQI principles.
- Evaluates and shares quality data with customers for continuous process improvement.
- Identifies areas to improve customer satisfaction and responds with action plans to improve results.
- Assists the Education Coordinator with the development of an ongoing program of orientation, training and continuing education for staff.
- Performs the duties of a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of respiratory therapy.
Certifications:
- Current State of Ohio Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license.
- Asthma Educator Specialist (AE-C) preferred
- Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist preferred
Complexity of Work:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of three years experience in critical care and experience in which leadership and teaching skills have been demonstrated.
Physical Requirements:
- Typical physical demands include a high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a PC.
- Normal or corrected vision.
- Extensive sitting and frequent walking.
- Occasional lifting or carrying 5 to 15 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
