Job Abstract

A manufacturing company is seeking CNC Drill Operators who will be responsible for handling, loading, and machining heavy production and/or fixturing materials to customer or in-house requirements and perform regular preventative maintenance and occasional repair on facility machinery. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Machine heavy production and/or fixturing materials to print requirements
• Move heavy materials and tooling using forklifts, overhead cranes, lifting chains/slings, etc. handling, loading, and machining heavy production and/or fixturing materials to customer or in-house requirements
• Select and properly use a wide variety of tooling including drills, reamers, taps, boring heads, spindle supports to manufacture to print tolerances.
• Select or modify cutting parameters to suit various applications including different materials, interrupted cuts, tooling or work piece situations prone to vibration or chatter
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair, assist in troubleshooting and repairing machinery, and edit programs on CNC controls as necessary
• Complete daily maintenance and repair and maintain action logs
• Communicate with operators from other shifts
• Maintain and secure work tools and clean work area
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees when necessary
• Perform other duties as needed
