Job Abstract

General Assembler

Under direct supervision, performs routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes. Requires use of a few simple hand tools.  Ensure that the work is being produced in the most efficient manner, while meeting the customer requirements.  Typically requires a high school education or equivalent and less than one year of training and/or experience.  Reports to Assembly Manager.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Marking parts; electro etch, dot peen, laser etch

Assemble simple and complex assemblies

Set up machines used in the department

Visual inspection of parts

Package parts

Perform other related duties as assigned

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE, CAPABILITIES AND SUCCESS FACTORS

Manufacturing / Assembly experience a plus.

Team Player

Ability to work under pressure with a sense of urgency

Have good communication skills and able to follow written/verbal instructions

Lift 15-20 pounds

Be able to sit or stand for 1-2 hour periods

Ability to communicate with both employees and management in a positive manner
