We are seeking a Certified Construction Manager to work on-site at Edward R. Roybal Federal Building in Los Angeles, California. Working at this location is a requirement for the job.
Main Responsibilities
Establishes and maintains proper business-like relations with representatives of the GSA Project Delivery Team, the occupants and other project participants. Oversees technical and administrative activities for design-build project to upgrade HVAC at Roybal Federal Building, Los Angeles, CA.
Key responsibilities:
Review and approve drawings as design reviewers.
Provide design review and suggestions for correcting errors.
Assist the Government in providing direction and control of design and construction phase activities.
Manage the inspections of physical work performance and installations of materials/components.
Follows company safety standards and site safety standards.
Understands and adheres to company policies.
Prepare cost estimates.
Review and prepare invoices.
Performs most assignments independently but consults with others and receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems.
Plans work and meets deadlines without supervisor action.
Qualifications
Minimum of a combined ten (10) years experience in the field of architecture and engineering, construction, or business management
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) from the Construction Management Association of America (CXPA) preferred.
Experience in developing and maintaining complex, long-term, multi-year project management activities.
Candidate must be approved by GSA prior to hire.
Familiarity with Federal and local government office building projects, with procedural requirements, review requirements, and approval requirements
Good oral and written communication skills
MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), PowerPoint; familiarity and working knowledge of AutoCAD, or other software is also a plus.
Must be an organized, motivated and detail-oriented team player.
Must pass pre-employment drug test, MVR check and federal government background check.
