THE OPPORTUNITY:   

The Claims Specialist position requires an experienced P&C claims professional who can advocate for clients, assist the insurance company in obtaining any necessary information from clients when needed and who acts as a liaison between clients and the insurance company claims department. The position will involve assisting clients with both Commercial Lines and Personal Lines claims.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Answer clients’ claims related questions;

• Obtaining loss information from clients;

• Reporting claims on behalf of clients;

• Obtaining information & statuses from adjusters/carriers;

• Obtaining statuses & following up with clients;

• Assisting clients and their representatives in resolving any issues with adjusters & insurance companies;

• Reviewing policies and coverage in general;

• Advise clients of the claims process, policy issues/concerns and overall assisting them in achieving the best possible claims result available; and

• Provide any other assistance as needed.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

• High School diploma or GED; 4 year college degree preferred;

• 5-10 years of insurance claims related experience, including litigated claims;

• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills;

• Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Window, etc.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;

• Proven critical thinking & problem solving skills;

• Proven attention to detail; and

• P&C license preferred, but not required

The position can be a hybrid role (a few days in the Encino office and a few days working from home)

   *The expected salary range for this position is $81,000 to $125,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
