Job Abstract

Woodworker / Packer needed for a company that customizes gifts in Irvine, CA.

Temporary to hire position paying $17-20/hr, depending on experience. Hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. 

Duties:

• Inspect wood material for physical damages.
• Sand and stain wood in preparation for machining. 
• Apply coating on specific products after machining.
• Ensure wood is not warped, cracked, or swollen.
• Operate equipment such as airless spray equipment, scaffolding, and motorized lifts.
• Perform special refinishing tasks including wood surface preparation, staining, and sealing.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Make sure customization info on the labels and the finished products match.
• Pack, weigh and label completed items for shipment.
• Properly use packaging materials, including hand tools, glues, nails, padding, etc.
• Utilize the safety equipment such as gloves, noise protections, glasses, etc.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
