The LAUSD Food Services Division is seeking a highly qualified individual to join the LAUSD team as a Senior Nutrition Specialist. In this capacity, you will play a critical role in ensuring that every student has access to healthy, balanced meals that allow them to learn, grow, and graduate college and career ready. Senior Nutrition Specialists plan, supervise, and participate in the nutrition activities of the Food Services Division, which includes supervising lower-level staff, providing technical expertise for developing training in the subject of nutrition and nutrition education; overseeing the menu and recipe development process; developing vendor relationships; assisting the Procurement Services Division to develop, monitor, and adjust the inventory process for the food and supply chain at the warehouse; and providing technical guidance to food services programs to ensure program compliance with federal, State, and local requirements and standards.
