Job Abstract

ASIA Summer Camp Staff (Two Positions): Roosevelt Elementary School; Summer 2024; curriculum writing rate of pay; July 1, 2024 through August 1, 2024 (no camp July 4 Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Additional paid planning time of up to 20 hours is available as needed. Applicants must be interested in working with English Learners. A teaching license from the Ohio Department of Education and/or TESOL certificate is preferred, but not required.

The program facilitates the acculturation of refugee and immigrant children with a range of enrichment activities, including arts and crafts, reading, sports and games, life skills, experiments, academic support, and field trips. Lead teachers develop activity plans based on the needs of the EL students, with guidance from the ASIA staff. Responsible to the ASIA Program Coordinator.
